Zen Mommy Minute: Kindness Jar

Here is a simple and easy idea you can use in your home to help encourage kindness in the way your kids treat each other… and you! Start a kindness jar. Everyone likes praise (moms included.) Keeping a family kindness jar will have you and your kids telling each other all the great things you see each other do and say on a weekly basis.

“Ac-cent-uate the positive. E-lim-inate the negative.” …  very wise words. 🙂 If you add this in your home, I’d love for you to come back on in a week or so and comment on how it’s working. Or if YOU have another idea to encourage kindness, please share it with us.

  1. This is a wonderful idea! Too often we focus on the negative, and keep bringing out more negative. I think focusing on the positive will result in kids looking for the best, not only in each other, but in others -everywhere they go. Jaelyn
