Zen Mommy Minute: Back To School Tips

What is YOUR best tip for back to school? Mine is to wake up 30 minutes early that first day and be sure to have the bags pre-packed, clothes layed out and even the lunch ready to go if possible! Take it from me, showing up 10 or 15 minutes early feels alot better than 2 minutes late that first day *wink*.

GOOD LUCK! and I’d love to read your best tip, especially if it’s for parents sending their littles ones off to Kindergarten!!!

  1. Kindergarten mommies… Remain calm. Your kids will be fine(r) if you don’t show your upset. I don’t have a school ager yet but I remember my first day of kindergarten. I was excited! But some of the kids were crying and the moms were upset too, that always makes it worse I think.

  2. Great advice Jennifer. Thanks. Remain calm… even if you feel like turning into a puddle of mush on the inside. Good to remember how EXCITEDil one may be… and to focus on that. 😉

  3. When my kids first started school I put a sticker in their lunch box so they could put it on at lunchtime and know I had thought of them – beyond just making their lunch.

  4. stickers is a great idea diane! sweet and easy… even quicker than a note AND shows you are thinking of ’em and luv em. thanks for this.
