New Mama!

Virginia KerrWe’ve got a new pregnant mama joining us. We hope you’ll extend *big hugs* to Virginia, who starting this week will be sharing her weekly pregnancy journal with us. If you are local to St. Louis, you may recognize her from KMOV’s Awake with News 4.

Virginia is due in October with her first. So we’re counting on our more experienced moms to answer her questions and give her some practical and inspired advice, okay?

  1. Virginia! Welcome to MMM and pregnancy. There will (likely) be times that you think you’ve lost your mind or at least your knees and toes, but we’re here to help you remember that it’s all good. I had an ongoing mantra, “I’m gonna be okay. Baby’s gonna be okay. All is well.” Then I’d barf. Good luck with that. Let the light shine on you and be sure to accept help that is given. Many blessings and congrats!

  4. Welcome and thank you for sharing you have no idea how helpful this is to expecting moms or other moms helping pass on a little “street smarts” mom learnings. the stuff books should actually be made out of. If I could give advice is to ask the question, you are not the only one with the same question and you will probably make someone’s day that might not have the extrovertness to ask.

Another piece advice never feel like you are alone! You have Ria and Suzanne right by your side, I know if i was pregnant (nope never gunna happen) I would pick these two as my modern mom sherpas!

Good luck and look forward to seeing updates. Not to pry but is there a man in the scenario? If so getting him involved in this would help some of the guys out here that are new to it too……we can use all the help we can get! Trust me.

  12. Welcome Virginia and congratulations on your baby! One of the things that happened to me was losing my memory. Lost cars, lost luggage, leaving paid for items at the grocery store!

    And it’s all normal! πŸ˜‰

Everything will be great and you have a great community here at MMM.

Hi Virginia! Blessings to you and your baby! :)
My tip is to say a prayer of gratitude for your child every day and ask to be blessed and led on how to best love your child. I ‘m over 70 and I love saying thankyou for each of our children every day and now for our grandchildren too!
