If you have lost a child, I am so sorry. There is nothing so lonely as this walk and yet here we are, together.
Though not a popular concept in our culture, I found in my walk with loss that being with my suffering, not running from it, helps me to heal. We, each of us, deserve support. Sometimes we can get this from family and friends, but often we get to look to others who have stood where we stand now for compassion and understanding.
Being with our loss, whether a day, month, year or decade later, is important. It matters. Do not be rushed in your grieving, by yourself or anyone else.
