How to Empower Our Kids: Responsibility

We are so excited to be partnering with Myself Belts on this video series, providing tips for you on how to empower our kids! In my experience with my girl and boy, there’s nothing like that, “I did it myself moment!” You see them puff up with pride, like Anne Jordan says. And, you actually feel yourself puff up with pride for them too!

One of the things that Talia notes in this segment is that giving them the responsibility of getting ready in the morning is one less thing for her to do. That’s the beauty of the Yoga Parenting approach of being “the guide by the side.” It’s a win-win for everyone. Personally, I think that creating this habit early is so key, not just in guiding my children to being responsible and empowered adults but a healthy and balanced relationship with them right now.

What are little ways that you can let go? Laundry? Dishes? Picking up their rooms?
