How Things Become A-Parent

In parenting and in life we teach what we need to know. My lesson? SPLASH!splash-water-cut1

SPLASH

Merri-go-round
Frightened and free,
We give what we need.
Passion
Connection
Inspiration.
One body, many parts.
Peace of mind…
Acceptance…
Forgiveness.

Always more, receiving.
A splash of black
In a sea of white.
More. Nicer. Black.
Breathe. Love. White.
Round and round
Swirling
Ever giving
Always more.
Ever.
Giving.
Always.
More.

What are you here to teach?… I mean… what are you here to learn? I’d love to hear.

Beautiful. I think you hit the nail on the head – the key is that we are here to BOTH teach and learn. I learn something new from my small people every day.

I hope to teach them gratitude, strength, unconditional love and a kind heart – hopefully by example!

If only… the audio comments would work…. you would hear me thank you for sharing your poem with me… while I was at Wal-Mart today! *gasp* Yes, I fully agree with you and Extraordinary Mommy, which is why my twitter bio says co-parent and student to two!!!!

I’m hear to learn to… hold on to letting go!!!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeee!
